Packaging

You will need packaging for your product. This may be medicine bottles, or it may be something like simple plastic bags. Medicine bottles are to be preferred because the shape and form of the bud is important to many people in a sales sense. The medicine bottles better preserve the shape of the buds and, therefore tend to increase the sense of value. For loose shake and rolled joints, a small plastic bag may suffice.

As a convenience to your customers you should label each type of product with its name -- Kush, Thai Haze, or whatever, so they can determine which ones are their favorites.

You will also need small paper bags so your clients have something to carry it in when they leave. You will need to provide your sales clerks with staplers so they can staple the bag shut. When the bag is stapled, it is a good idea to include a tag on the bag that says something like:

Medical cannabis provided to qualified patients under California Health and Safety Code 11362.5, et. seq. Cooperative distribution only. Not for resale.
